20 years ago, I sat with a simple question in my heart:
What would happen if a business existed not to make someone rich… but to radically love others?
That’s when Working to Give was born.
We’ve grown from one small venture into a family of businesses—selling corn dogs, churros, candles, and more—but the mission has never changed: Build excellent businesses and give 50% of the profits away to put God’s love on display.
It’s not a tagline. It’s not a marketing angle. It’s our heartbeat.
The Call to Give
For me, giving isn’t just about generosity. It’s about obedience.
Everything we have—our time, our talents, our businesses—is something God has entrusted to us. And I believe we’re called to steward it well. That’s why we give to entrepreneurs in vulnerable communities, support missionaries, and respond to disasters around the world. We don’t just want to sell a product; we want to change lives.
It’s why a candle at Havilah & Co funds a dream in Central America.
It’s why every corn dog sold at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs supports missionaries around the world.
It’s why every churro sold at our Disney Parks locations rescues children lost to human trafficking It’s why we say: One transaction here, one transformation there.
A Better Way to Do Business
People often ask me,
“But don’t you lose out by giving that much away?”
And my answer is simple:
You can’t lose something that was never yours to begin with.
Everything we have—every dollar, every opportunity, every open door—belongs to God. We’re just stewards of it for a time.
So when we give, we’re not sacrificing something that’s “ours.”
We’re simply returning what He’s entrusted to us, and trusting Him to multiply it for His purposes.
And let me tell you—He always does.
Join the Movement
This is just the beginning. We believe the next 20 years will be even greater than the last. Not because of any one product or business—but because of the people we serve, the stories we tell, and the impact we get to make together.
If you’ve ever wondered whether business can be a ministry, whether generosity can be a strategy, or whether love can be measured in candles and corn dogs—You’re in the right place.
Let’s keep working.
Let’s keep giving.
Let’s build something that lasts.
I LOVE YOU
